Gay Men's Sketch is San Francisco's longest running gay drawing group and longest running male figure drawing group. Our 20th anniversary was on March 3rd, 2007. We are still exploring a range of possibilities to celebrate this very important milestone in the group's history including an exhibition, establishing a collection of our artwork at an archives and publishing a book of our artwork. No matter which of those possibilities comes to pass (and hopefully we'll be able to accomplish all three!), we need to raise funds.
To that end, we have produced two commemorative posters of drawings of the male nude by Duane Wakeham, one of our longest attending members still active with the group. Duane is a California impressionistic landscape painter and he is in many ways the heart and soul of the drawing group. His drawings represent the kind of poses and models that the drawing group uses in its sketching sessions.
These beautiful posters are 13" x 19" and they have been printed with Epson's archival UltraChrome Inks on acid-free lignin-free, Epson Radiant White Watercolor paper and printed on a high quality professional Epson printer.
The prints are $40 each, or $75 if both prints are purchased at the same time plus tax and/or shipping. Prints come in archival plastic holders.
